Parish Council Elections
Elections for Parish Council members will take place in May. If you care about where you live and are passionate about your community we need new councillors to support the village of Holwell. Any parishioner wishing to stand should contact the Parish Clerk as soon as possible for further information.
Suspicious Vehicle Alert.
Dorset Police Rural Crime Team would like you to be aware of the following suspicious vehicle.
The vehicle is a Silver Ford Mondeo with the registration N**8 GXA
This vehicle has been seen in suspicious circumstances in areas across the county over the last few weeks.
The occupants of this vehicle have been seen acting suspiciously near rural premises. It is thought that the vehicle and its occupants are involved in rural thefts.
If this vehicle or other vehicles are seen acting suspiciously, please gather as much information as possible such as the registration number and descriptions of the driver and any passengers and please contact Dorset Police immediately by calling 999 if the vehicle or occupants are seen committing crime. Review of Rural Bus Services
All the existing services have now been withdrawn, apart from one on a Tuesday morning to Sherborne and Yeovil.
The service is run by Dorset Community Transport and passengers need to book in advance ie by Monday, by phoning 01258 287980. Timetable details are as follow:
Kings stag 9.25am, Holwell 9.27am, Sherborne 10.25am, Yeovil 10.45am
